Joanna and I enjoyed a walk around Glenkiln this afternoon. We chose it because we knew we wouldn't be walking under any trees. The gusts from Storm Malik had eased a lot by 2pm but it was still windy. I'd been out to post a letter this morning and it was actually quite scary being near trees and I did see this evening that a 60 year old woman had been killed in Aberdeen by a falling tree. There is more wind to come tomorrow..

When I reached home after our walk, I found Messy Jess on the doorstep. She had been out helping D and Sarah in the woods all afternoon, clearing brash from the trees which fell during Storm Arwen. She looked a bit sheepish...
