I just liked the leading lines in this shot too much not to use it, but my 'day' was really all about the extra.
Helping a friend out manning a check point on the innaugral LAW100 - the Lady Anne Way 100 mile long distance run, 8pm to 8am.
By the time the runners reach me they've done 56 miles, and today they battled some ferocious winds, we've had a 12% drop out rate. Now it's the middle of the night under a stunningly clear sky, it's currently - 3°C and ice is forming fast.... I'm tucked up in the van.
Mostly people have been in super high spirits, I've made a fair few brews, bumped into a couple of hill friends and had a lot of laughs.
Can't say I'd want to make this a regular gig though!
