Prosecco for lunch

Sitting in St Mark's Square with a glass of Prosecco listening to Vivaldi's Four Seasons being played by a 5 piece ensemble orchestra sitting under canvas beside us in the Restaurant. It was lovely to see sun and not need a jacket for sight seeing. Prosecco my favourite sparkling wine after champagne is normally made from Glera ("Prosecco") grapes. DOC prosecco is produced in the regions of Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia in Italy, and traditionally mainly in the areas near Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, in the hills north of Treviso. So it seemed churlish not to drink the local brew!!
