What a game!
I whizzed around and did a few chores before the tennis final really got underway. Our neighbours were coming over for muffins and to meet Archie again (or really, the other way around). Rafa was two sets down, so I left the TV on, but muted it. We all kept glancing at it over the two hours they were here. Rafa was fighting back!! The visitors left just before the final set - lots of cleaning up at their rental flat to do - so that I could concentrate on the match. What a victory! What athletes! Always sad when the tournament has finished (I love having an excuse to sit for over five hours!) but the Six Nations start next weekend. (AND the Winter Olympics!)
The neighbours came in, Archie’s barking was minimised because they had treats, so he did all his tricks instead. Much more endearing. In fact, Louisa has mentioned that she’d like to take him out for walks! Greg, the young man, won’t be taking dogs for walks any time soon - he’s having TWO hips replaced next month!!
To my enquiries as to how they have settled in, they replied, ‘Well, it’s been a bit of a disaster… Our car was damaged by a flying trampoline in the storm yesterday.’
It was their car that the trampoline had been stuck against, and it’s probably written off. Poor things. I do hope they get the money out of those irresponsible trampoline owners.
And there’s another storm coming tonight!
