JR’s foot is back to normal, so she was off to the gym this morning. Denise came to take Archie out, Hazel popped over for a coffee, then I went to the gym.

I must say, that crosstrainer is NOT getting any easier. Twenty minutes (with rests every five minutes) just about KILLS me. And I’ve been going several times a week for a whole month!

Rather annoyingly, the Amazon music app, where I’ve got a couple of playlists, now refuses to play. No - it does play, but only ‘The Universal Soldier’ (Donovan 1965) on REPEAT!! It’s a great song, still topical, but it wasn’t even on one of my playlists. So I’m back to my 103 songs on my own playlist.

I took Archie round the ‘hood in the afternoon. We admired this seat outside one of the cafes. This evening we’ve given in to ‘Happy Valley’ having avoided it for three series. But the constant mentions and discussions in the media (and JR’s gym pals) make us feel we’re missing out. But then, Strictly Come Dancing is constantly mentioned too, and I KNOW we’re not missing anything there… 

Just on Series 1, Episode 2. A long way to go.
