Winter sunset

A beautiful frosty, but sunny, morning greeted us today. 
My Mother  and I did a bird count for the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch in her garden but disappointingly  few birds appeared on the  fatball feeder. Perhaps they had already stoked up somewhere  else?

My Mother's younger sister came over and I drove  us to Rickmansworth for  lunch at our favourite pub, The Feathers. It was a good meal and, as always, a convivial atmosphere with lots of families enjoying being able to eat out together.

On our return home I photographed the sunset from the garden. I last did this on 2nd January just after 4pm sunset. Today it was almost  5pm. The days are definitely getting longer!
