Million Dollar Quartet
Just before Christmas, 1956, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley randomly showed up at Sun Records studio in Memphis where the legends had launched their careers. An impromptu jam ensues. Word leaks out and a reporter who was there soon wrote “this quartet could sell a million”, This afternoon we saw a brilliant production of “Million Dollar Quartet”, a music driven play that chronicles that magical event. It was the first and only time these legends would perform together.
