An Engagement

What a surprise it was to receive a call from my good friend, Shane, Tuesday asking to come have a little chatty-chat. Was I ever excited about this chat!

Turns out, he was planning a little engagement to one of my dearest friends, Pilar. Surprisingly, I had a role to play in this scheme. Keeping it a secret until now was only slightly difficult. You see, every time I was around Pilar, coaxing her into my deceptive pre-birthday plans, inside my mind I was screaming "He's going to propose!"

Turns out, she was completely blindsided as hoped for! Shane does a radio show over at TCU on Thursday nights. He pre-recorded the show up until his segment at the end where he announced to Pilar, and all listening, that he is not at the studio but her front door. It went to a live feed where all listening heard the infamous words go down. It was one of the best things I have ever been apart of.

She of course said yes as you can see from the photo. The rest of the night was celebrated and filled with family and friends.
