Snow laughing matter
Today we went out and about visiting Tibetan herding communities who have been part of our work here.
Such are the distances here that it was a 5 hour drive each way, essentially just having time for lunch (of raw dried yak leg).
The scenery was amazing and the wildlife good - vultures, marmots, foxes, gazelles...
The lowlight may have been getting stuck at the top of a 4800 metre snow-covered pass. Some passing monks helped to push the car out. At that altitude the slightest exertion leaves you with a pounding head and heaving chest.
All in a day's work!
