Snow and sun and non-visitors

Enjoyed a sunny day on skis today. Here is Jan powering across the lake. It was that strange mix of cold air and a warming sun. I was a bit overdressed and got rather overheated, as you can perhaps see in Jan's blip. As always it was fun to be out.
We've just heard that our visitors aren't coming, which is a bit sad for us and very sad for them. Eleanor is pregnant and it turns out there is a (minor) problem that means her doctors don't think she should fly.
It's tough on them as they have booked holidays and the trip has not been easy for them to organise in these strange times. We are sad not to be seeing them, especially F who is now two years old and who we only met when she was a few days old, in those pre-covid times. We were looking forward to getting to know her, as well as having fun with her parents and the other visitors.
Fortunately we only have to wait a month before the next visitors arrive!
