Out in the sun and snow, and then into the cinema
We took ourselves out into the forest today, using our snowshoes. We can go out the back of our house and into the trees, using snowshoes, in a way we can't do on skis (too uneven, too many trees) or on foot (sinking in too far at each step).
Running up the middle of this shot is an old snowshoe track from two weeks ago, somewhat snowed over. But it's easier to walk on an old track, than create a totally new one.
In the last couple of days we have begun to feel real warmth in the sun as it rises higher in the sky. Up until now the joys of the sun have been mostly psychological, but now I need to open my jacket as I am working in the sun.
This afternoon we ate a pizza together with Rose and Ruth and then we went off to film studio, or to the actual cinema to se "A man called Otto", which is an americanised and slightly modernised version of a Swedish book, and a Swedish film, "A man called Ove". I loved both the book and the Swedish film but was still enchanted by the version we saw today. Tom Hanks captured the spirit of Otto/Ove beautifully.
Another good day, for us and the visitors!
Also a blipmeet I suppose, so check out brambleblossom and Harling Darling.
