Sunbeams over Borrowdale

Planned to head down to Yew Tree tarn for a walk today, but by the time we reached Dunmail Rise it was rainiing pretty hard. Came home, and walked right round Derwentwater instead. This was taken at the start of the walk, where the light at the end of the lake looked magnificent, with Catbells getting a touch of sun. 0.9 ND grad, and a 5 stop bracket to maintain highlight and shadow details.

Within half a mile, it had clouded over and we were treated to some rain at the far end of the lake, and just as we were getting back.

It was still a fabulous walk that we haven't done in a long time.
