North Prong St. Jerome’s Creek

Rainy, high of 58 deg F, low 54 deg F. Up early to eat breakfast before heading to Ridge. The weather was miserable for driving which I only do when I must. My mother had her first of six February doctor appointments. The cardiologist said she is doing well considering her age but he has some concern about the circulation in her feet. She will see a vascular specialist later in the month. They were giving out free KN95 masks at the library, we we picked up a few. She was hungry for a steak and cheese sandwich so I picked up one at Firehouse Subs, which excited her since my father and her brothers were all firemen. We made the rest of her appointments when we got back to her home. In our county, you can get to the river, creek, lake, pond or even the Chesapeake Bay in no time. I decided to check out the north side of the creek my mother lives on for my blip. Since it was nasty out, there wasn’t much activity which added to the sense of serenity I felt sitting there for a bit. Going to the water’s edge has always been a wonderful past time for me, but in recent years, other activities have taken precedence. Hubby helped at the ice cream social at Parker and Mack’s school. We had lunch together at home. Hubby worked on paperwork and I took off the rest of the day. Driving in so much traffic stresses me so much. We had 94 new COVID cases. The cardiologist said next to heart disease, COVID is taking more lives in the U.S than any other factor. Depressing. Stay safe folks. Thanks for dropping by and please forgive me if my comments slow down. It takes most of the day when we have doctor appointments. “If you want to relax, watch the clouds pass by if you're laying on the grass, or sitting in front of the creek; just doing nothing and having those still moments is what really rejuvenates the body”. - Miranda Kerr
