That phrase has several meanings ( glasshouse being a term for a military prison amongst other things) but in Portree it has presumably now taken on a whole new and much more pleasurable connotation given these very innovative glasshouses ( called by the management “pods “ and used for ventilated socially distanced drinking) erected outside the bar of the Portree Hotel and looking into Somerled Square .
