Early Blossom

The sun is shining and I have to visit a shop a fair distance away. I decided I would walk as it is a bright but cool morning. As it is Flower Friday the walk would give me the chance to check out all the gardens along the way for for some colour.

I was disappointed on the flower hunt. I did not see any flowers in the gardens either on the way, nor on the way back. Not even a snowdrop. I had given up on the hunt, but I was saved by a tree with this early blossom.

I have no idea what kind of tree this is, but I presume it is a variety which blossoms early, and not just that it is confused by a couple of mild days.

The weather changed in the afternoon when it clouded over and we were treated to some snow.
