Blustery up top
A gorgeous morning up Earl’s Hill today with our John Muir group. Super windy and cold up top but well worth it for the views. Every week Ellie and I get our minds blown by some fascinating nugget of information delivered by Becci. I think it’s fair to say that we get as much out of it as the young people do.
There was a certain heaviness to our lunch groups today. A lot of our usually brilliant and mostly carefree young people came in with just this layer of sadness. It’s not unusual to have one or two young people share their problems with us but today just seemed different, like a collective heaviness. I can’t think of any other way to describe it.
Ended the day writing some safeguarding emails which is never a nice way to end the working week.
Onto The Curtai House for whiskey Friday in which I mostly just inhaled crisps and hummus. I’ll never understand people who actually like whiskey.
