Silk Tassels & Sunbeams

This bush caught my eye today - a new one to me. It's a Silk Tassel Bush 'James Roof'' (Garrya elliptica). I thought I must share these amazing blooms on Flower Friday, with thanks to challenge host BikerBear.

Couldn't resist adding this late afternoon sky over Sandy Bay, Weston-super-Mare as an Extra. Viewed from Prince Consort Gardens, the sunbeams and clouds were so striking as the bright weather toyed with light rain showers. I think it must have been high tide, as there's usually far more beach than sea visible.
