Nothing much today, as I was still feeling a bit under the weather.  It’s just a cold and runny nose but as we have all been conditioned over the last two years I did a test and got two lines!  It reminded me of the Skinner and Baddiel football anthem of a few years ago……. I used to sing ‘Three lines on my shirt………’ never realising until much later it was Three LIONS.  Silly me!

I did go out for a walk this morning but didn’t see anyone and it was outside however it poured down and I got soaked and did wonder if I would now ‘catch a chill’ as I was a child of the 60’s/70’s and conditioned to believe?

Home for shower and nothing much else.  I lit the fire in the conservatory as we were expecting the gas man to come and change a gas valve and I thought he would need to turn the power off but he didn’t arrive until 7.30 - busy day for him.  It was only a twenty minute job and he said it wasn’t really needed but we had been through a saga with British Gas trying to persuade us to have  a smart meter fitted.  They had tried to fit said smart meter but because the valve was stuck……… anyway, we have decided we don’t want a smart meter, we don’t need to be reminded all the time how expensive it is to heat an old house.

OH played golf but finished after 9 holes as it was wet and he was cold (hope he doesn’t catch a chill or my lurgy), so he had a lazy afternoon too,

The picture is of a pill box which MIL ordered from a catalogue, two arrived so  suggested I sell it on eBay, which might help towards the next gas bill!
