Last night

I didn't take any photographs today but snapped this one last night on our way home from IKEA.  The sky looked as though it was on fire and the picture (taken out of the car window) doesn't do it justice. 

Lazy day today, (not feeling 100%) so just a walk first thing chatting to No.1 then a bit of clearing up.  OH put some new shelves in my wardrobe and I had a sort out and filled another bag for the charity shop.  I just don't need the same clothes any more now I am retired, so gradually they are going!  I made a cake and a did a bit of paperwork, enjoying the peace while OH was out (taken MIL for blood tests).  I'm sure elderly people get far better looked after than other sections of the population.  She has shed loads of medication delivered and gets regular check ups for blood and heart etc.  I can't remember the last time I had a blood test or blood pressure monitored?!  Oh well.

I have a zoom chat later (zoom? there are only two of us, what happened to phone calls?).  I had agreed to take on the schools outreach for the organisation I volunteer for, but it has been a bit of a damp squib with very little take up or enthusiasm - both from schools and volunteers.  I don't have the excuse of 'not enough time' but this is one that I wish I hadn't bothered with.  However will listen with feigned enthusiasm until I can pass it on to someone else!
