Olympic Park

We set off up to London this morning to stay overnight with Adam and Tomoko. Unfortunately there were rail engineering works so we ended up driving to Richmond and getting a train to Waterloo from there. Then we walked along an empty South Bank and across to Liverpool Street, then got the train to Stratford. A long old journey but it all felt fairly manageable (Covid-wise) apart from the Richmond train which was busier than I was expecting at 9 in the morning. Anyway, once we arrived, we walked over to the Olympic Park and had a wander around d in the beautiful sunshine, visiting the velodrome, and finding a cafe for lunch in the East Village. Then back to their flat for a Japanese takeaway in the evening. Very nice!
