Wet

After a windy night (which sounds very loud 17 floors up!), we woke up to a rainy morning. However, it cleared quickly enough and we ended up with another lovely day. We took the DLR down to the Thames and got the river boat (now run by Uber) along to Tower Bridge. After a coffee, we walked down to Tate Modern. Not realising you had to book a ticket, even to get in for free, we booked online then went and had a quick lunch waiting for our time slot. We only spent half an hour or so in there, watching the “blimps” in the Turbine Hall - we were all too tired to look at anything else and it felt quite busy. So we parted ways and Paul and I walked back to Waterloo to get the train back to Richmond and then drove home. A lovely weekend but tiring! I’ll sleep well tonight.

Extras: the old and the new - Tower of London and skyscrapers. And the blimps in Tate Modern.
