A walk in the woods

The weather forecast indicated that the best time to go out today would be about 2pm, so we decided to head for Hartsholme Park. As we left home it was spotting with rain, but stayed dry whilst we walked for an hour. There weren’t many people out and about, a few with dogs and the odd toddler in their waterproofs and wellies splashing in puddles.

We had a hot chocolate with marshmallows sitting in the car at the end, before driving home. As we got to our house it absolutely lashed down, sleety rain. Nice timing.

I didn’t sleep very well last night, so have been a bit lethargic today. The crockpot is on for dinner, with pulled pork, and some leftover new potatoes from last night, to be served with green veg.
