Today has been much duller weather-wise, and my senses slightly dimmed by a disturbed night - Merlin having remembered how to open the kitchen door and escape upstairs. He is a persistent soul - good when hunting out birds as he is bred to do but not so good when applied to searching us out upstairs in the middle of the night! We shall see how we fare tonight. A new tactic is in place to try to avoid so much disturbance.
