History lesson

We worked out that we had last visited the Tower of London around 26 years ago.  We decided to have another visit and spent a few hours brushing up on our history.  The tour by one of the Yeoman wardens  was entertaining and full of facts and the Crown Jewels were sublime.  Other displays were interesting and informative and modern ( made me think about LC and how there were many missed opportunities to update and change).  I was less interested in the armoury but we had a quick walk through.  Back to the hotel to collect the bag and we had a slow walk back to London Bridge via a tea shop for scones and tea. What a lovely day, but I’m feeling tired now and won’t be too late to bed.
