B-52s

Today on the way to collect the boys from school a B52 USAF bomber flew over the school. The last time I saw B-52s over Gloucestershire was when they were flying nightly bombing raids during the Bosnian war. Their current presence is explained in the note below:

The military statement reads: "B-52 Stratofortress aircraft, support equipment, and personnel from the 5th Bomb Wing, Minot Air Force Base, North Dakota, arrived at RAF Fairford, England, today to execute the long-planned Bomber Task Force mission, a regularly scheduled U.S. European Command and U.S. Strategic Command joint mission series.
"En route to RAF Fairford, U.S. Bomber Aircraft integrated with British Typhoon aircraft and Portuguese F-16s currently assigned to NATO’s Icelandic Air Policing mission.

I had a busy morning with two virtual meetings in Budapest. A local appointment after lunch before the school pick up and home for food and fun including some puzzles.

Another online meeting this evening concluded a very productive day.
