Blood On The Kitchen Floor.

There was some lovely light first thing and the dying flowers were looking better than they should have, although it was the shadows that caught my attention first ... so I took some pictures.

SWMBO and I went down to the shops mid morning - I wanted to have a look at the new DIY (not so super) store.  I bought a saw. SWMBO went next door and bought some flossing thread.
What a rock'n'roll life we need.

We got home and the thermostat that I ordered yesterday  for the oven was stuffed through the letterbox. I also photographed that as when I opened the outer wrapping the 'rod' was slightly bent.
I then removed the oven (it is a 'built under' type) and fought to remove the top cover to get in to replace the thermostat.
It didn't go well.
I didn't break anything - I didn't bend anything, but I was not going to take it down to its component parts (which it was looking like it was going to need), especially without any diagrams. So I put it all back together (another confusing fight)and put it back in place. I didn't break anything and I didn't bend anything - but I did find that the screws had been breeding.

So Round 1 is down to the oven ..... although it fights dirty and uses sharp metal bits (which is why there was blood on the kitchen floor and fewer plasters in the first-aid box).
I now need to work out how to tackle Round 2.
SWMBO has already been looking at domestic appliance suppliers - I was thinking more of a domestic appliance engineer.
