Putative descendant

Beautiful morning to cycle to market.  On homeward journey spotted the flowered lawn surrounding the putative descendant of Isaac Newton's apple tree. 
On my way home spotted two gorgeous lurchers which reminded me of a drawing commission I'd done for my decorator Ellie which she'd gifted to her friend. I asked the owner if she knew Ellie, she affirmed she did. I said I believe I'd drawn her dogs.  It was rewarding to meet the delighted (phew!) recipient.  See extra.
As smitten owners of sighthounds we waxed lyrically about them.
