Deep Purple

Four nights this last week I have slept badly. It’s not just the cats’ fault. Yes, they wake me up a couple of times most nights, but usually I go back to sleep after a few minutes, not stay awake for hours, like it’s getting a habit lately.

As a result, I was once again tired and cranky today. Work went slow, and I gave up shortly after lunch. Tried to do some gardening or sit on the sunny terrace a few times, driven back inside by sleet or rain showers every 20 minutes or so.

At least it stayed dry for long enough to take a photo of our dark purple hellebore. I’m feeling grateful for every flower (and other signs of spring) after the long grey winter months.
