Anyone for tea?
I love this tea caddy. It's not quite big enough to take a full batch of 80 teabags, but I still wouldn't replace it, because I love the design on the pottery. I bought it from a pottery about ten years ago. We were on holiday in Devon, staying at a village called Loddeswell and went out for a drive looking for somewhere to have lunch. We found a huge pub cum hotel which was very old fashioned and had animal heads all over the walls. I found that a bit creepy, but the food was very good. After lunch we had a wander around - there were only a couple of buildings near the pub as I remember - and one was a low shack-type building with a potter working there. He was very friendly and I ended up buying this from him. I think he carved the design out, rather than it being made in a mould, but I'm not entirely sure now. Anyway, I thought it was unusual and it has been in use ever since. (We use Clipper tea bags as they're good and also fairtrade).
The weather today is grey and drizzly rain, so no plans to go out. I cooked a roast lunch today, which turned out extra nice for some reason (my roasts are always pretty good, but this was declared exceptional!) A good day for cooking, but not for much else really!
