A Relaxing Day For Me
Playpark (Climbing ropes/giving it lalday on the seesaw/lizard chasing) ........ the Cygnet - not me.
Photographed the waves crashing on the rocks.
Went up to the old monastery in the town and spent a nice quiet, relaxing time there taking pictures. Outside the place there is a huge Sycamore Olive tree. I have no idea how old it is, but judging by its size and the fact it has to have scaffolding to hold up a couple of its boughs and iron rods holding its hollow trunk together. I also lit some candles in the chapel from friends and family now departed.
We met Mike (the best man) & Lydia (his wife) who have gone to great expense to come over from Maine ..... what a lovely couple. They are staying in a self catering apartment complex looked after by the M-I-L from hell who is going to charge them for doing a bit of laundry and cleaning (which as far as I am concerned should be included in the cost). They will not be paying. I will. They have left their young children at home and basically remortgaged their house for this trip and they refused to let No1 son put his hand in his pocket when he went to their wedding - the least I can do is repay that compliment.
SWMBO, Bags, son-in-law, the kids and I went out to The Bedrock Café for diner. It is a 'themed' place based very loosely on The Flintstones. The Cygnet loved it because there were big fiberglass dinosaurs and the Flintstones car to play on.
