Winter gardens

We went to the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens this morning, making the most of the sunny weather today. I’ve not been there before but keep hearing about the winter gardens so I wanted to try and get there while it was still winter-ish. And what a lovely place it is! And it’s free for RHS members. We had a lovely coffee overlooking a quieter part of the garden (complete with a pair of thrushes foraging in the border - we don’t see thrushes much any more), then a walk around, finishing in the winter garden. It was looking really good in the sunshine - will definitely go back again later in the spring to see how things develop.
