The Valentine's Day Hop

Remember when dances were called "Hops"?  Well, you do need to be of a certain age to recall real life experiences.  I attended one or two hops. In the late 1950's and early 1960's, dances that were held in the school gymnasium required the kids to take off their shoes so that they wouldn't scuff the floor, hence, a "sock hop".  The mice decided to revive this tradition with their own hop and this was their song of choice, At the Hop.  However you celebrate today, they hope you have a hoppy happy Valentine's Day!
