Walled Garden

Today's the day ....................... for lines

They like everything to be orderly in the walled garden at Cumstoun House, near Kirkcudbright.

The walls themselves are absolutely horizontal, surrounded by a beech hedge, clipped to perfection to mirror them.  The pine trees at the back have to grow perfectly vertically - or else they are liable to be discretely removed.  The only problem is that gate.  Despite having pretty much vertical struts and two horizontals - someone has gone rogue with the top of it.

Whoever said that curved arches were allowed ...................?
