Clearly Did Not See The Sign
Today was a mixture of strong gusty winds and occasional rain, when one minute, it was reasonably quiet and then suddenly, it sounded like the windows were going to blast inwards.
The afternoon was a little better, certainly dryer and a bit brighter, so anxious to see what I could photograph for MonoMonday and the theme, Communication, I took a short walk into one of the backstreets of town. With eyes peeled, I eventually spotted this car down an alleyway and then saw the signage, so photo for the day duly sorted.
Time to get back home for a mid-afternoon cuppa, whilst watching the action movie, Under Siege with Steven Segal, playing a chief petty officer, culinary specialist and former Navy SEAL operator with top training in martial arts, explosives, special-weapons and tactics who saved the day by stopping a bunch of villains from stealing some Tomahawk missiles off a battleship. Pure hokum, but enjoyable.
Then later, and after dinner, it was time to enjoy the new TV to its maximum, , I settled down to watch a 4k Ultra HD version of the third movie instalment of Dan Brown’s Robert Langdon franchise, Inferno, starring Tom Hanks, which apparently got negative reviews from critics. However, the box office seemed pretty good with worldwide receipts totalling of $230 million, against a production budget of $75 million. And like the previous two movies, it probably wasn’t the kind of movie where you could pop out for 5 minutes to make a cuppa and pick up the thread of what was happening, but then when you have the means, the pause button comes in handy.
And so Monday came to an end. Thanks for stopping by, reading, and viewing the photo and of course adding any narrative and awards. It all makes it worthwhile.
