How's Your Luck?

It's about a two and half mile walk across the Exton Estate in Rutland to the Fox and Hounds pub in Exton village. We and a couple of chums happily undertook it today having checked online that it had survived the pandemic and was serving beer and food again. It was cold and windy but we had a pleasant destination to look forward to.

However, the sign on the door when we arrived just after midday read 'Due to a gas leak the fox will be closed till 6 p.m.' Oh well, not to worry - there's a decent café back on the camp site. Backed we trudged - needless to say, the café was closed too! Emergency rations all round!
