Shake, Rattle &Roll
Today was our Landrover off-roading day with Kankku which we have done several times before and always loved. The weather was horrible which meant we couldn't see as much as we would have done on a clear day. We drove around Grizedale forest, Coniston, the Langdales and the photo is of Hodge Close Quarry in the Tilberthwaite Valley.
I always find the experience quite frightening but today was definitely the scariest off road experience we've had due to the high winds and heavy rain. At the top of our ascent over Coniston, we were driving through clouds along a narrow track, centimetres from a sheer drop. It's all good fun though and the children find my screaming highly amusing.
Back home, I had a hot bath. Alfie drove Liv, Johnnie and Poppy to his favourite shop, Booths in Windermere. D is cooking fajitas for dinner.
