Polruan Day
Our last day in Cornwall, and we were so lucky with the pre-Eunice weather. We managed to get the ferry across to Polruan, something we always try to do when we are in Fowey. There were some great views. The main blip shows the view back across from St Saviour's Point towards Readymoney Cove. You can see Point Neptune House on the right (owned by Dawn French until last year), St Catherines Castle in the middle and the red and white Gribben Head Daymark on the left.
Looks a lot sharper large.
We also managed ice creams and delicious pasties. Or rather I had a whole pasty but mrsfb only managed half of hers before a marauding seagull swooped down and snatched it out of her hand!
In the extras:
The ferry
A cormorant (not a great shot as it was taken from the ferry)
The gull in question
A mini daffodil
We left Fowey about 4 pm to drive to Bristol for an overnight hotel stay. The traffic was awful and it took over 4 hours. Everyone escaping from Cornwall and Devon maybe :-)
