Eunice.
Eunice blasted through and left some very local damage - 2 ridge tiles lifted off our roof and crashed onto my deck followed shortly by a loud crashing sound when the poplar tree opposite was felled and conveniently barely touched anything, cars, houses etc.
Glad it passed through very quickly as my 2nd floor flat is contained within the roof space and apparently before I came here the roof was completely removed by the 1987 storm so it is relatively new compared to what would have been the original Edwardian 1900 one. Still felt scary though as the house sits quite high up just a short distance from the sea front. High tide at 14.00 hrs but not dangerously so except that my south facing windows misted over by salt spray.
Extra shows one of the ridge tiles, another one broken and wedged next to the chimney. This one weighs over 3kgs and was cemented in place a couple of years ago when it slipped out of alignment. Wind lifted it off completely.
