Eye Of The Storm

Back to the deep freeze today. Windy, so I walked into the woods, exploring things half buried in snow. I expect the limb fell off this tree (when it was upright) because of a rotten core. I have seen damage like this before caused by ants, but I'm sure there could be other reasons.

Anyway, the knot left behind seems to form the shape of an eye and as the tree had fallen, I thought maybe it came down in a storm. I just liked the shapes and texture and patches of snow stuck to it.
