House of Gods
YAY - finally we are going to our day and night of debauchery to Edinburgh!
I was a bit tight for time in the morning but all was packed and ready to go to get the train to the Burgh at 11:15am.
The weather was pretty dreadful when we arrived.
Neil was a gem and dropped the case in the Hotel while I had a coffee at The Milkman at the bottom of Cockburn Street.
We then walked through the stormy rain to Chez Jules - the French Bistro where I had reserved table for us at 1 pm.
It is a busy place with some amazing offers. Unfortunetely the frog legs I was after were still somewhere on the road to Edinburgh, so I settled for snails instead.
The food was great and great value to. Neil had a mahoosive lambshank and I had a bucket of mussles.
We then braved the wether again and walked to the hotel. Via the new shopping centre - very fancy.
We checked in and started with prosecco on tap ... delivered by the afternoon butler.
7:30 pm was our first sitting in the new cocktail bar "Casablanca" and we had a great time.
At 9 pm we had a break in the room too eat our 20" pizza that was part of the deal.
New outfit for 11pm back to the bar and cocktails.
It was lovely and we had a great time. Too much to drink obviously - but that was part of the plan.
The evening ended with more prosecco in the room followed by milk and cookies ....
.... and some deep sleep :)
I totally forgot to take my camera to the bar - hence only pictures from Chez Jules ....
