Find The (Dead) Frog
Hamish and I were wandering aimlessly off the nearby trail today, when I saw him sniffing something white on the ground. I poked it with a stick and turned it over, then realized it was a Pacific Treefrog aka Pacific Chorus Frog. As you can imagine, they're very hard to find, but are often heard. If you've ever heard them, you'll know why they got the second name. This is what it sounds like near our house in Spring. They start and stop singing on cue, as if there were a designated conductor.
Hamish was not happy when I interrupted his investigation.
