Ablutions

Hamish "washes" his face frequently and on many different surfaces, including grass, carpets, concrete,  dirt, dry leaves -- you name it, he's been there! As a result, his beard is never white. It looks like a pipe smoker's beard.

I forgot to mention snow is highly favored.
