Snowdrops on a grave
The wind built up again today but in the morning we went over to Hambledon and up to the churchyard to put some snowdrops in a pot on Dad’s grave. Anthony and I then recc’d all the other headstones in preparation for commissioning one. They were much more varied than we thought and it was also about trying to find the right sort of stone. I am also planning to buy some snowdrops to plant ‘in the green’ on top of the grave which a lot of other people have done.
We went back to house where V had cooked a lovely lunch and then as the wind and rain had started to get a bit fierce read the papers instead of going for a walk.
I drove them to Guildford as the line isn’t due to open until next week but the journey home was a bit scary in squally wind and rain.
