Busy, busy, busy

Hubby baked a batch of sourdough loaves after breakfast, which looked, smelled and tasted delicious when they came out of the oven. We bought a big bucket each of tomatoes and aubergines from the Farmer’s Market on the weekend and they needed to be dealt with, so hubby made tomato sauce and roasted the aubergines in slices, and it all went into the freezer.

Meanwhile, I did my normal Monday morning work, which seemed to take a lot longer than usual, probably because my daughter and son-in-law are marketing a number of properties at the moment.

We finally managed to get out for a walk about 5:30pm and, fingers crossed, my leg held up really well.  I extended the walk by a very short distance along Kohi beach before heading inland, and it meant we saw these very tall palm trees silhouetted against the blue sky, with some white clouds thrown in for good measure.

Today’s new Covid-19 community cases totalled 2,365 and, sadly, two Covid-related deaths have also been reported.
