Drawers

Angus set off for the Highlands after a hearty breakfast prepared by MrM. It should have kept him fuelled for a while!

After waving him off, I started preparing to move back in to our bedroom. Mended the back of the full-length mirror, and cleaned the mirror before it was hung. Cleaned and polished a chest of drawers. My chest of drawers, in the Blip, is very old and needed a bit more attention. Scraped and sanded the top, before washing it in hot soapy water. Finally, waxed all of it. Took a while, but it was worth it. Later, we moved both chests of drawers back in to the bedroom.

The weather here was pretty awful - windy and wet - but nothing especially out of the ordinary. It was much worse elsewhere in the UK as Storm Franklin wreaked havoc with its wind and torrential rain. Over 100 flood warnings issued, and homes in Manchester and elsewhere being evacuated because of flooding...
