Rain Today

SUNDAY

After yesterday's snow came the wind and incessant and, at times, torrential rain  The rivers are swollen and flood sirens have been sounding higher up the valley.

I took a late afternoon walk down the Blackburn Valley but had to stop when I reached this bridge as Black Brook had burst its banks and the footpath was well underwater (see extra).
