The calm after...

... the storm (or rather after the third storm in a week). More overnight damage in the garden (but the sweet peas are fine). Our neighbours have two enormous fir trees that are now leaning towards us. Hopefully they will be taken down before they crush our conservatory and bedroom. It was still blowing mightily when the spaniel and I had our early morning walk. He usually responds well to the whistle but, when he finally re-appeared this morning, he claimed he couldn't hear it above the wind. A bit of a respite this afternoon as gales gave way to a stiff breeze, patches of blue sky and the occasional burst of sun.
