Meet the Parents

This time next week Ben and Sophia will be on their way to Mexico and - what with COVID restrictions - and life in general - tonight was the first time we met Sophia's parents Deborah and Jim socially (apart from at the front door).

It's strange because we have a great many local friends in common, but they had girls and we had boys and our paths never really crossed in the school years.

We found lots in common tonight though (not least our children) and have vowed to be in touch with each other, even when they are not in touch with us, over the coming months.  We've had a really lovely evening, thank you McGiverns, and with hopefully many more to come.
