April Saimaa Challenge - Promise

Day 10 of tvkosone's April Saimaa daily challenge - Promise

Lots of ways to do this one, but I've gone for the easy option :)

Spring is late this year, but finally we are seeing the promise of new life as the buds start coming out.

This plant (it's not a rose or daffodil, beyond that I'm lost) produces large deep red flowers every year and then totally dies back. It is just beginning to show the promise of bringing colour to my garden again this year.
