Wasted space

One of our ‘go to’ local eateries is closing for good at the end of the week, so we popped in for a farewell brunch.

It’s such a shame; it’s a cracking place but due to loss of earnings due to the various lockdowns and rising costs since reopening, they’ve had to make the decision to quit while they’re ahead.

We were annoyed to be seated next to this table; reserved for 4 people at 11.30. They didn’t bother to turn up. Several other people had been turned away, so once again the business lost out on valuable income because people couldn’t be bothered to let them know that plans had changed.
It’s just plain rude! :-(
